The Code Enforcement function of the Department administers the building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, accessibility, energy, property maintenance, and zoning ordinances of the Township.

Online Permitting is Now Available

Abington Township is proud to now offer a convenient submission option for a variety of permits for residents and contractors alike at www.abingtonpa.gov/onlinepermits. Applications can now be submitted from the convenience of your home or office through our online portal, OpenGov. Applicants can track permits from start to finish within any web browser, communicate with staff inside each online permit application, provide additional documentation, and monitor progress. We are excited to offer this new option and look forward to bringing additional applications to the online portal in the near future, so be sure to keep an eye out in the coming weeks.

The following permits are currently available online: Fence, Roofing/Siding, Sidewalk, Tank Install, Use & Occupancy, Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler, Fire Suppression, Storage Tank Removal, and Special Use.
