Yard waste includes normal lawn and garden debris such as leaves, brush, grass clippings, twigs, pruning and small branches (not more than 3 inches in diameter and no longer than 3 feet in length). 

Under no circumstances should you include dirt, stones, rocks, or turf grass with dirt attached to it.

Yes. A separate truck from the trash truck, as well as, the commingle recycling truck collects brush, tree limbs and yard waste.

Yard waste is picked up curbside year round on the same day as your regular trash is collected. The exception being, that on the collection day after a holiday, there will be no yard waste collection and residents will need to wait until their next regularly scheduled collection date. NO yard waste can be brought to the Public Works yard.

Residents can put in their address and service information related to that property will be visible, including their trash day, leaf collection day, voting district and more. You can also find you trash collection day by address using this document. You can also use this colored map to find your trash collection day. 

Brush and tree limbs for disposal must be cut into maximum 3 feet lengths and 3 inches in diameter. It must be bundled, tied and placed curbside on your normal trash day. Bring no brush or tree limbs to the highway yard. 

You must contact your own contractor to get rid of tree limbs and branches which are larger than 3 inches in diameter and/or which are longer than 3 feet in length.

Yard waste will be accepted only in retail purchased brown biodegradable yard debris bags and/or 35 gallon or smaller containers. Under no circumstances will plastic bags be accepted. Brown biodegradable paper bags and containers can be purchased at most large retail stores and home improvement stores. Containers/bags can weigh no more than 30 lbs.

Please note, the Township no longer sells brown biodegradable bags for yard debris.

The trees will be taken to the Public Works facility and chipped into mulch for residents' use in the spring.

Christmas trees and all greenery are included in this recycling. 

Do not include stones, rocks or dirt with the yard waste recycling. 

We ask that you place your discarded tree curbside on your regular trash day beginning the first trash day of the year. Trees are collected January 3 through January 31, 2024. Curbside trees should be free of all decorations, wires and tree stands. 

Please note, trees will be collected curbside ONLY. NO trees can be taken to the Public Works yard by residents.
