Join Abington Township Board of Commissioners for the 35th Annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Service event on January 20, 2020 at 12 PM at the Abington Junior High School Little Theater. This event brings together community leaders, elected officials, students and residents to reflect on the message of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 

This year's event will host a "Be the Match" event immediately following the memorial service for Juwan Adams, an Abington Township resident with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, who needs a stem cell transplant. The Township has organized an event immediately following the memorial service, where potential bone marrow donors can do a simple mouth swap to learn if they are a life-saving match. Walk-ins, for individuals not attending the service, are welcome to participate anytime after 12:15 PM.  To learn more about bone marrow donations, please visit www.bethematch.org.
