NOTICE
FINAL ACTION ON PROPOSED BUDGET AND SPECIAL MEETING
The ABINGTON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS will hold a special meeting for the purpose of considering and taking final action on the Fiscal Year 2021 Proposed Budget and adopting Ordinance No. 2179 the Tax Levy and Appropriation Ordinance No. 2179. The special meeting will be held on December 10, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., via Zoom, there are two ways for the public to participate in the meeting. Residents can access the meeting online by a computer, iPad, iPhone, or Android at https://zoom.us/j/91432826808. This link will enable residents to hear the meeting and see presentations. There will be no video capabilities. Residents, who are unable to join online, can listen to the meeting by calling 1-929-436-2866 and entering the meeting ID number 914-3282-6808 when prompted. The Board of Commissioners will consider taking final action and adopt the Fiscal Year 2021 Proposed Budget and will hold a public hearing on and consider for adoption Ordinance 2179 - “Annual Budget of the Township of Abington for the Year 2021 - Tax Levy and Appropriation Ordinance,” adopting the Fiscal Year 2021 Proposed Budget.

TAX LEVY AND APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE
The proposed Ordinance to be considered and acted upon on December 10, 2020, has been drafted for the health, safety and general welfare of the residents of Abington Township.
The proposed Ordinance shall, inter alia, approve and adopt the Fiscal Year 2021 Proposed Budget, establish the tax levy assessed on all property and occupations within the Township of Abington for General purposes, Fire purposes, Debt Service purposes, Parks and Recreation purposes, Library purposes and Ambulance purposes; appropriating expenses from the revenues available for the current year for the specific purposes set forth in the Ordinance, which amounts are more fully itemized in the Budget document; and establishing an effective date for the Ordinance and Budget adoption, as more fully set forth in the Ordinance.
Interested members of the public may review the Fiscal Year 2021 Proposed Budget and proposed Ordinance 2179 in its entirety on or before December 10, 2020 at the Office of the Township Manager of Abington Township located at 1176 Old York Road, Abington, PA, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., by appointment only by contacting Terry Castorina at 267-536-1003 or tcastorina@abingtonpa.gov, it is also available on the Township of Abington’s website, www.abingtonPA.gov. Interested members of the public may also submit written comments on or before December 10, 2020 to the Township Manager, Abington Township, 1176 Old York Road, Abington, PA, 19001.
